Our loyal customer base is drawn from the middle market and are mainly families who are struggling to come out on their monthly food budgets, as well as pensioners who are battling to make ends meet.
All of our customers are aware that Foodeez retail outlets sell food that is short-dated or even past their Best Before dates. Prominent signage in our stores highlights this fact. They understand the price / perceived quality trade-off and accept that they may occasionally purchase a product that does not deliver according to expectations. We do not refund their purchases, but do offer them replacement products to the same value. In our experience however this rarely happens.
All products we acquire are randomly sampled for quality purposes before being put on the shelf.
We currently average just over 45,000 transactions per month across our Cape Town stores alone.
Our primary communication with customers is via SMS to our own Foodeez Customer Database, and via Facebook, where we currently have over 52,000 followers. Our consumer feedback is testament to the service we are providing to consumers;
